The manufacturing and acceptance technical conditions are in accordance with the Japanese standard for valves used in thermal power generation, E101, and the Chinese standard JB/T3595-93. 

The structural length shall be in accordance with the provisions of E101 or as per the dimensions provided by the user. 

The welding bevels shall comply with the provisions of the power industry management standard 78DG or be in accordance with the dimensions provided by the user.

Description

The Z960Y high-temperature and high-pressure power station gate valve is a high-performance shut-off valve specially designed for extreme conditions in industrial fields such as thermal power plants, petrochemicals, and metallurgy. It is manufactured and inspected in strict accordance with the Japanese standard E101 for power plant valves and the Chinese mechanical industry standard JB/T3595-93. The structural length and welding bevel dimensions also comply with the E101 standard and the power industry management standard 78DG, ensuring the high standardization and reliability of the product in design and manufacturing. 

This valve is designed to operate stably for a long time under nominal pressure ranging from PN16.0 to 32.0 MPa (corresponding to Class 2500-4500 in the American standard) and at extreme temperatures and pressures up to 570℃ (as in the model P54170V), mainly being used on pipelines for water, steam, oil products and superheated steam, to achieve reliable isolation or connection of the medium. 

Its notable structural feature is the adoption of a pressure self-tightening sealed middle chamber design, and the ends of the branch pipes are usually designed as welded connections. This structure ensures that the higher the pressure in the valve's inner chamber, the more reliable the sealing performance becomes, perfectly meeting the strict requirements of power station systems for high-pressure sealing. The valve offers two mainstream standard forms: one is the imported type following the American standard ANSI B16.34 and the Japanese standard JIS E101, and the other is the national standard type completely in accordance with the Chinese JB3595 standard. Both maintain consistency in temperature-pressure grades and have good interchangeability.


Features

Adhere to international dual standards to ensure outstanding compatibility and reliability 

The design and manufacture of the valve strictly follow both the Japanese E101 standard and the Chinese JB/T3595 standard. This means that it can not only perfectly fit the imported overseas unit equipment, but also be seamlessly integrated with the domestic power station systems. This dual standard certification not only demonstrates the meticulousness of the product manufacturing process, but also provides great convenience and quality assurance for its application in projects worldwide. 

2. Unique pressure self-tightening seal and welded end structure 

The middle chamber of the valve adopts an innovative pressure self-tightening sealing structure, eliminating the traditional bolted connection of the valve cover. The principle is that as the pressure of the medium inside the pipeline increases, the sealing element (such as a self-sealing ring made of low-carbon steel or flexible graphite 316 wire mesh) is automatically compressed, achieving the effect of "the higher the pressure, the more reliable the seal", completely solving the problem of leakage at the flange connection under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. At the same time, the ends of the branch pipes usually adopt a fully welded structure, which not only has high connection strength and absolutely reliable sealing, but also effectively avoids potential leakage points at the flange connection, and is particularly suitable for main steam and feedwater pipelines with extremely high safety requirements. 

3. Super-hard and wear-resistant cobalt-based hard alloy sealing surface 

The core sealing components of the valve - the gate plate and the sealing surface of the valve seat - are all made of Stellite (a cobalt-based hard alloy) through welding or plasma spraying processes. After precise grinding, their surface hardness is extremely high, and the thickness of the metal layer is usually ≥ 3mm. They possess excellent wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-abrasion performance, and can withstand the long-term erosion of high-speed steam flow, thereby significantly extending the service life of the valve and reducing the maintenance frequency. 

4. Anti-corrosion valve stem with specially enhanced treatment 

The valve stem, as a key moving component, is made of high-performance stainless steel or alloy steel materials such as 1Cr17Ni2 or 20Cr1Mo1VA. It undergoes quenching and surface nitriding treatment. This treatment process forms a hard hardened layer on the surface of the valve stem, which not only significantly enhances its corrosion resistance and anti-abrasion ability, but also effectively reduces the friction coefficient with the packing, making the valve easier and more effortless to open and close even under high temperature and high pressure conditions. 

5. Flexible and customizable opening and closing components and driving methods 

To meet the requirements of different working conditions and flow characteristics, the opening and closing components (gate plates) of the valves can be designed in various forms according to user needs, such as wedge-shaped elastic single gate plate, double gate plates, or parallel double plates. In terms of the driving method, a comprehensive range of options is provided, including manual operation, bevel gear or spur gear transmission, as well as electric devices equipped with dedicated motors, reducers, and torque control mechanisms, supporting on-site operation and remote automated control, which greatly enhances the convenience and modernization level of system operation. 

6. Highly adaptable material system with high temperature and high pressure capabilities 

The main pressure-bearing components such as the valve body and valve cover can be selected from a series of verified materials based on specific temperature, pressure grade and medium characteristics, such as WCB carbon steel, WC6/WC9 chromium-molybdenum steel, and even 12Cr1MoV high-temperature alloy steel. This scientific material pairing system ensures that the valve has stable mechanical properties and resistance to high-temperature creep throughout its working temperature range, fundamentally ensuring the safe operation of the equipment from the material level. 

7. Rigorous manufacturing and full-process quality inspection 

The product manufacturing process integrates precision casting or forging techniques, ensuring uniform structure and smooth appearance of the castings. Before leaving the factory, it undergoes multiple rigorous tests including high-pressure water strength tests, high-pressure gas strength tests, non-destructive testing (such as radiographic or ultrasonic inspection), and sealing performance tests conducted strictly in accordance with API 598 or E101 standards. These meticulous process flows and quality control points jointly ensure that each Z960Y gate valve can meet the bubble-level sealing standard, fulfilling the core requirements for long-term, stable, and safe operation of power stations.
