The BV6 series sanitary butterfly valve is a precise fluid control device specially designed for high-purity stainless steel pipeline systems. It is perfectly suitable for applications in industries such as food and beverage, biopharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, and specialty chemicals that have strict requirements for hygiene and automation. This valve is made of high-quality stainless steel (such as SUS304/316L) through precision casting. All surfaces in contact with the medium have undergone high-standard mechanical or electrolytic polishing treatment, and the inner wall is smooth like a mirror, ensuring no hygiene dead corners and completely preventing the growth of microorganisms and product residues. It complies with international hygiene certification standards such as 3A, DIN, and ISO, and supports complete online cleaning (CIP) and online sterilization (SIP) processes.
The core working principle is to control the valve shaft through the drive device, which in turn drives a precisely machined circular butterfly plate inside the valve to perform a 90-degree rotary motion. When the butterfly plate rotates to be perpendicular to the pipeline axis, its outer edge precisely presses against the elastic valve seat, achieving reliable closure; when the butterfly plate rotates to be parallel to the pipeline axis, the flow path is almost completely unobstructed, achieving full opening. The BV6 series offers high operational flexibility: it can be equipped with an electric actuator for automated remote control. The actuator converts the linear motion of compressed air into the precise 90-degree rotation of the valve shaft, providing three standard modes to meet different safety logic requirements - the normally closed (NC) type automatically closes when the air supply is lost, the normally open (NO) type automatically opens when the air supply is lost, and the double-acting (A/A) type requires bidirectional air supply to control the switch.
Meanwhile, the valve retains the direct manual operation function. Through an additional handle or worm gear device, the operator can perform manual opening and closing, and can precisely lock the butterfly plate in the fully open, fully closed, or any intermediate position, thereby achieving continuous and smooth regulation of the fluid flow.

The core advantage of the BV6 series lies in its integrated automation and reliability-driven configuration. The three standard pneumatic actuators (NC/NO/A/A) enable users to make flexible selections based on process safety requirements (such as fault open or fault close), achieving rapid and reliable remote automatic control. At the same time, the standard manual operation mechanism provides necessary control redundancy, ensuring that the process can still be safely intervened during power failures or maintenance periods, thereby enhancing the overall reliability of the system.
3. Excellent adjustment performance and efficient flow capacity
Unlike valves that are only used for on-off functions, the BV6 butterfly valve achieves excellent flow regulation through the continuous positioning of the butterfly plate within the range of 0 to 90 degrees. This enables precise control requirements in the process. When fully open, the butterfly plate minimally obstructs the flow channel, resulting in low fluid resistance and small pressure loss, which helps reduce system energy consumption. It is particularly suitable for use as a regulating valve or energy-saving on-off valve in large-diameter pipelines.

Compared with ball valves or gate valves of the same caliber, the structure of butterfly valves is simpler and more compact, and the overall weight is significantly reduced. By using high-performance elastic valve seats and precisely machined edge of the butterfly plate, a two-way tight seal can be achieved. Depending on the selection of valve seat materials, this valve can safely be applied to cold water, hot water, clean steam, various food-grade fluids, pharmaceutical liquids, and a variety of mild chemical media. It has a wide working temperature range and can meet the needs of most hygienic and lightly corrosive process flows.
