Description

The sanitary welded butterfly valve is a precise fluid control device specially designed for industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, cosmetics, and fine chemicals, which have extremely high requirements for hygiene and safety. It uses a circular butterfly plate as the actuating component and is driven by the valve stem to achieve a 90° rotation, thereby quickly and precisely opening, closing, or regulating the flow of the medium in the pipeline. This valve, with its outstanding hygiene performance, reliable sealing, and convenient maintenance, has become an indispensable key component in clean pipeline systems. 

The core of the sanitary welded butterfly valve lies in its comprehensive sanitary design. All flow components such as the valve body, butterfly plate, and valve stem are made of high-quality austenitic stainless steel, such as SUS304, SUS316, or even higher-grade SUS316L, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand high temperatures and chemical agent impacts during CIP (in-line cleaning) and SIP (in-line sterilization) processes. The connection methods are flexible and diverse. Besides butt welding connection, it can also provide clamp (quick-installation), threaded, and flange connections, enabling seamless integration with pipelines that comply with various international mainstream sanitary standards such as DIN, SMS, ISO, IDF, and 3A. The butt-welded connection is particularly suitable for high-purity systems that require permanent, leak-free, and no-sagging designs. The welding ports are precisely machined and highly polished, achieving a smooth transition with the pipeline, completely eliminating the potential risks of dirt and debris accumulation in traditional connection methods. 

This valve covers a wide range of diameters from DN10 (1/2 inch) to DN300 (12 inches), meeting various flow control requirements ranging from laboratory small equipment to large production lines. Its design strictly complies with the requirements of cGMP (Dynamic Pharmaceutical Production Management Specifications), FDA, and EHEDG, etc. All surfaces in contact with the product have undergone mechanical or electrolytic polishing, and the surface roughness Ra value is usually below 0.8 microns or even 0.4 microns, achieving a mirror-like effect, effectively preventing microbial attachment and medium residue, and ensuring absolute purity of the fluid.

1. Outstanding hygiene and cleanliness guarantee: 

The valve adopts a full-diameter or straight-through flow channel design, with no retention cavities or dead corners inside. This ensures that the medium flows smoothly and is easy to be fully covered and flushed by cleaning agents. The precise polishing process and the structure that can be completely emptied perfectly support online cleaning (CIP) and online sterilization (SIP) processes, making it an ideal choice for achieving a sterile production environment. 

2. Reliable sealing performance and long service life: 

The commonly adopted structure is a mid-line soft seal. The sealing ring is made of elastic materials that comply with food and drug hygiene standards, such as silicone rubber (SI), ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM), or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). These materials have excellent temperature resistance (typically -20℃ to 150℃), chemical corrosion resistance, and low compression permanent deformation properties. The finely machined butterfly plate is in close contact with the elastic valve seat, generating a uniform sealing pressure when closed, achieving bubble-level sealing and effectively preventing cross-contamination and medium leakage. 

3. Optimized fluid performance and low operating torque: 

The butterfly plate adopts a streamlined design. When fully opened, it is in the same direction as the fluid flow, resulting in extremely low resistance and low pressure loss. This is beneficial for energy conservation and maintaining stable system pressure. The valve stem is usually fitted with a nylon or Teflon bushing, significantly reducing friction, making the valve easy to open and close with light and flexible operation, and requiring little torque for operation. Even with frequent operations, it can be handled with ease. 

4. Robust structure and convenient maintenance: 

The valve has a compact structure, small size and light weight, saving installation space. Many designs adopt top-mounted or detachable connections, allowing for quick online inspection and replacement of vulnerable parts such as the internal valve seat without having to completely remove the valve from the pipeline, significantly reducing maintenance downtime and lowering the overall operating costs. 

5. High compatibility and automated integration: 

The product is strictly manufactured in accordance with international hygiene standards such as DIN 11864, SMS, 3A, ISO, IDF, etc., ensuring universal applicability and interchangeability worldwide.
