The valve industry has made significant progress in optimizing its industrial structure.

After the State Council issued the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Revitalization of the Equipment Manufacturing Industry", it led to the comprehensive revitalization of the equipment manufacturing industry. To this end, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Association of Standardization and Testing, and other relevant national departments, had long proposed a plan to gradually achieve the domestic production of major equipment valves during the "15th Five-Year Plan" and the "11th Five-Year Plan". They proposed to realize the domestic production of key valves for 100-megawatt nuclear power plants and 1 million-ton large-scale ethylene complete equipment valves, etc. Through the introduction of key technologies and independent development, and providing many preferential policies and regulations, relevant valve enterprises seized the opportunity and actively cooperated with the state to carry out the domestic production of valves. There was a consensus at all levels, and the domestic production of valves has achieved gratifying progress. 

The valve industry should focus on optimizing the industrial structure, energy conservation and environmental protection, independent innovation, reform and opening up, and people-oriented principles, and accelerate the establishment of a new technological development system with independent development and innovation capabilities. By the end of the "11th Five-Year Plan", the domestic production rate of valve products should reach 95-100% for large-scale ethylene-specific valves, and for coal chemical-specific valves, the key issue of material sealing pairs needs to be resolved, and some control drive devices should also reach over 90%; in terms of ultra-ultra-supercritical thermal power station technology and other aspects, the domestic production proportion of valves should reach 80%-100%. To achieve the domestic production of key valves and key technologies, the task is extremely arduous. As long as our valve industry colleagues work together with one heart and focus on the same goal, the domestic production of valves will definitely be realized. 

In the national economic development, the valve industry, as an important link in the manufacturing industry preparation process, plays a very significant role. In key areas related to national economy and people's livelihood, such as 100,000-kilowatt nuclear power, large-scale clean and highly efficient power generation, supercritical thermal power, gas steam cycle, large-scale hydropower and pumped storage, large-scale air-cooled power stations, and large-scale circulating fluidized bed boilers; 1 million-ton large-scale ethylene complete equipment, p-xylene, benzophthalic acid, polyester complete equipment; large-scale coal chemical complete equipment; large-scale underground coal mining, lifting and washing and transportation equipment; large-scale ships, large-scale chemical ships, aircraft carriers, CNG; air pollution control, urban industrial wastewater treatment, urban pipeline renovation, etc., a large number of domestically produced valves are required as supporting components. To meet the requirements of the national economy industry for valve manufacturing, achieve the scientific development of the entire industry, take the lead in development, achieve good and fast development, seize the opportunities of domestic and foreign markets, forge ahead, and strive to make China become the main production base of valves in the world. 

The valve industry plays a very important role in the national economic development as an essential part of the preparatory manufacturing sector. It is crucial in the important fields related to the national economy and people's livelihood. Valve manufacturing requires strict quality control. Only by strictly controlling the quality can we provide a favorable development space for various industries. Therefore, to achieve the domestic production of key valves and key technologies, the task is extremely challenging. However, as long as our valve industry colleagues work together with one heart and focus on the same goal, the domestic production of valves will definitely be realized.
