Innovation-driven, technology-leading. Kigon Valves successfully delivered - the first domestically produced high-pressure nickel-based large-diameter top-mounted ball valve.

On March 21, 2017, Shanghai Kigon Valve Co., Ltd. successfully delivered a batch of high-pressure nickel-based large-diameter top-mounted ball valves to Luk Oil Company of Russia. Among them, the 36-inch 600LB high-pressure nickel-based large-diameter top-mounted ball valve was the first of its kind in China. The successful completion of this project marked a significant improvement in Shanghai Kigon Valve Co.'s design and manufacturing capabilities for top-mounted ball valves in large sizes, high pressures, and harsh working conditions. It also indicated that the company's production techniques for high-sulfur oil and gas valves were becoming increasingly mature. 

The high-pressure nickel-based large-diameter top-mounted ball valve is applied in the high-sulfur working conditions of gas fields. The working conditions of the valve are extremely harsh, and it is required that the valve body and sealing materials can effectively prevent sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC). The valve body material is selected as carbon steel, and the inner surface is welded with INCONEL 625. The effective weld layer thickness is not less than 3mm. This ensures that the performance of the valve meets the requirements of the working conditions. Therefore, at the beginning of the order, Kigon Valve organized engineering technicians to establish a specialized project team for technical research and innovation, to improve processing techniques, and spent a huge amount of money to introduce the intelligent hot wire welding equipment from Austria, FRONIUS. Successfully solved the dilution rate and porosity problems of the INCONEL 625 weld layer. The design and quality of the valve have received high praise from users. 

Although the valve industry as a whole has been experiencing a downturn in the past two years, Shanghai Kigon Valve Co., Ltd. has never ceased its investment in research and development and innovation. It has introduced high-end equipment such as five-axis machining centers and fully automatic CNC grinders, continuously developed new products, actively participated in the "substitute domestic for imported" projects of high-end valves, and promoted the domestic production process of high-end valves.
